Here are the steps to configure Mail on Mac Yosemite 10.10:
- Go to System Preferences, Internet Accounts. Choose Add Other Mail Account
- Provide your Full Name, Email Address and Password. Then click Create.
- The email client will try to auto-discover your settings but fail and tells you that "Account must be manually configured". Click Next to continue.
- Choose IMAP and your enter your Incoming Mail Server Info. Click Next to continue.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your User Name is your complete Email Address i.e. user@yourdomain.com and not just "user". - If it prompts you to Verify Certificate and warns you about "identity cannot be verified", you can ignore it by pressing Connect button.
- Finally, your enter your Outgoing Mail Server Info. Click Create to save your settings.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure that your User Name is your complete Email Address i.e. user@yourdomain.com and not just "user".
